Technology Addiction Awareness Scholarship Requirement

Unplugging can be difficult when technology is always at your fingertips. However, stepping away from technology can benefit the body and mind. 

This scholarship is intended to assist you in comprehending the detrimental consequences of excessive screen time. This scholarship aids in students’ comprehension of the drawbacks of excessive screen time. 

Entry is open to freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors in high school, as well as current or incoming graduate or college students at any level. Students who are homeschooled are also qualified. Age restrictions do not apply. Candidates must be citizens or lawful residents of the United States. 

How to fill out an application 

  • Fill out the online application at the Digital Responsibility website and include a 140-character note about your addiction to technology. 
  • A group of finalists will be chosen from the top ten applications. 
  • A comprehensive essay about technology addiction, ranging from 500 to 1,000 words, will be required of the finalists. 
  • Applications can only be submitted online.

 Deadline: January 30 each year Prizes: A $1,500 scholarship will be awarded to the winner, and a $500 scholarship will be awarded to the runner-up. 

How the winner will be chosen

The content of the 140-character message will be used to determine which 10 finalists advance. The 500–1,000 word essay’s content and originality will determine the winner and runner-up. Notification of award: By email, the finalists will be informed. The winners will receive postal and email notifications.
