From sources across the web, the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN) ranks top ten of the best Universities in Nigeria. Usually, the admission process of UNN involves candidates taking their PUTME after passing their JAMB cut-off mark. UNN seldom uses online screening exercise to judge their successful applicants. The school reported that they had their worst set of medics in their last screening exercise in 2016.
However, because of the COVID-19 break that lasted a year, and the ASUU strike that spanned eight months, the school was finding it difficult to have an equilibrium in its academic session. Many applicants were about to resume, so, UNN administrators had no other options than to use the online screening method for its prospective students in 2022/2023 and 2023/2024.
Back to our question, the answer is either YES or NO. Whether UNN will write PUTME in 2024 or not, no one can tell. UNN had an online screening exercise for two consecutive years, which is a rare undertaking by the institution. In this case, they may not observe screening exercise in 2024. On the other hand, the University of Nigeria Nsukka is yet to meet up with its timely academic running (deviation from normal school time) due to the pandemic and ASUU strike, so they might observe online screening.
NB: There will be an update on whether UNN will write PUTME 2024 when there’s an official release from UNN for the 2024 batch.
