RTK Environmental Scholars Program

Are you a first-year college student or a senior in high school with a strong interest in environmental research as a career? Then you should think about applying to the RTK Scholars Program! RTK Environmental Group, a reputable leader in objective environmental testing and inspection for radon, mold, lead, asbestos, indoor air quality, and volatile organic compounds, is sponsoring the scholarship.

The RTK Environmental Group is dedicated to helping students who want to pursue careers in science by supporting and advancing their education. These people serve as the cornerstone for upcoming breakthroughs in the fields of environmental inspection science, engineering, technology, and the biological sciences. 

These students benefit from their scholarship program by succeeding. The vast majority of college graduates proceed on to establish themselves as the foremost authorities on ecological testing, both in the lab and in the real world, and builders of novel technologies for the trade are majoring in the fields of environmental science, biological sciences, engineering, or another associated physical science. 

Recognizing the demand in the field for committed professionals with top-notch higher education, RTK Environmental is prepared to offer a scholarship to a deserving candidate pursuing a career in scientific research and studies related to the environment. 

A $1,500 scholarship is awarded by the RTK Scholars Program to the eligible applicant. To support college students’ education, RTK Environmental Group would like to assist students who are majoring in environmental science. One high school senior, college freshman, sophomore, or junior will receive an award. 

Qualifiability Standards

  • Must be a student at a college, university, or accredited school;
  • Must keep a minimum GPA of 3.0 (for verification, kindly attach a PDF copy of your transcript);
  • Must be a senior in high school or a freshman, sophomore, or junior in college.
  • Must be majoring in or intending to major in engineering, biology, environmental studies, or environmental science;
  • Requires residency in the tri-state region of New York (New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut);
  • Need to be a citizen or authorized resident of the United States.
  • The essay must be submitted in PDF format.

How To Apply 

A 500–600 word original essay outlining the applicant’s interests in environmental sciences and how they hope to further the field after graduation is required. Kindly provide your full name, phone number, email address, mailing address, and the school you are currently attending or plan to attend.

Kindly submit a transcript attesting to your 3.0 GPA. Essays must be turned in between September 1, 2023, and May 31, 2024, for review by our committee. Around July 15, 2024, the winner will receive an email. You can submit your application by completing the form below on the RTK website
