University of Oxford Scholarships for International Students {Fully Funded}: University of Oxford (OX) is a diverse place that invites students from 150+ nationalities and residencies every year. Presently, international students comprise approximately 30% of overall student population at University of Oxford.

Apart from entrance-based University of Oxford Scholarships, international students are also eligible for in-course scholarships awarded by their respective Faculties. Doctoral and research-based master’s students will be provided with a stipend from their thesis supervisors.

International students must remember that the benefits, eligibility criteria, and application process vary for several University of Oxford scholarships depending on their level of study.

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for University of Oxford Academy Scholarship, applicants must satisfy the requirements below:

1. Applicants must be International students.

2. Applicants must have applied or applying to University of Oxford.

3. Applicants must be fluent in English, Spanish, French & Chinese Language.

4. Applicants should check and meet the university’s admission requirements at the admission requirements page.

5. The scholarship awards and cut-offs will vary by division, faculty and college.

Application Process for Oxford Bachelors Scholarships

University of Oxford Undergraduate Scholarships requires applicants to complete a separate application form. Students must ensure that their scholarship application includes the following details

  • Personal Information
  • Course Details
  • Financial Information
  • Supporting statement
  • References

The application deadline for all the bachelor scholarships at University of Oxford is March 12. The scholarship application form can be submitted via email or post. 

If you opt for email, send it to student.funding@admin.ox.ac.uk. The subject of the email should be “Undergraduate Scholarship Application”.

Recipients of the Oxford undergraduate scholarships are expected to write an annual report about their academic and social activities, and achievement at the University of Oxford. 

University of Oxford Scholarships for Masters and Doctoral Programs

Masters and doctoral program students are offered the University of Oxford Scholarships in partnership with Foundation, donor, or corporate entity. The University contributes 40% of the funds for these scholarships, whereas 60% is contributed by the partner organization. 

Prospective applicants of the University of Oxford Scholarships for Masters and Doctoral programs must be academically meritorious. This is one eligibility requirement that is common across all the scholarships. 

The academic excellence of the applicants is judged on the basis of their performance in the completed bachelor’s and master’s degrees. While the University has not established any specific academic threshold to be considered for the scholarships, you do have minimum academic requirements for admission purposes- first-class degree or second-class degree.

  • Upper first-class undergraduate degree with honors is 75% or above in a 4-year degree program.
  • Upper second-class undergraduate degree with honors is 65% or higher in a 4-year degree program.

Students exceeding these academic requirements will be given preference for the scholarships, at least the admission-based scholarships.
