The Shout It Out Scholarship is an essay scholarship that allows students to show off their abilities, goals, and dedication to bringing about positive change through writing. We will be talking about the 2024 application window for the Shout It Out Scholarship in this article.
Scholarship Deadline: 30th September, 2024 11:59 pm Pacific Time.
Eligibility Criteria
1. This award is for U.S. students.
2. Applicant must be a legal U.S. resident.
3. Applicant must be a resident of one of the 50 United States or the District of Columbia.
4. Must be 14 years of age or older at the time of application and who are currently enrolled (or enrolled no later than the fall of 2029) in an accredited post-secondary institution of higher learning (college, university, or trade school).
Scholarship Award
$1,500 per year; not renewable. Once the recipient of the scholarship has enrolled in an accredited post-secondary institution of higher education and provided the sponsor with proof of enrollment, the scholarship prize will take the form of a check made payable to the accredited postsecondary institution of higher education.
How To Apply
Write an essay in 250 words or less on the topic “If you could say one thing to the entire world at once, what would it be and why?”.
Application Rule
1. Your response must be written in English, and use proper spelling and grammar.
2. Once your original application has been submitted, no additional drafts, essays, or corrected pages will be accepted.
3. Written answers that are offensive, obscene, or pornographic will not be accepted.
4. All applications become the Sponsor’s property and are not refundable.
5. For applications that are misdirected, misplaced, delayed, or difficult to understand, the sponsor disclaims all liability.
6. By submitting an Application, you hereby irrevocably accept and consent to these Official Rules as well as the final, enforceable decisions of the Sponsor.
Selection Process
The sponsor is seeking qualified applicants who follow instructions, submit well-written applications that creatively address the above-described topic, and follow directions. A competent panel of judges will choose one (1) possible winner on or around December 29, 2024, based on the following criteria: overall excellence (25%), creativity (25%), originality (25%), and writing ability (25%). At least one (1) of the submitted applications will be chosen by the sponsor to be the eventual prize-winning application. If there is a tie, the applicant with the higher overall excellence score will have the chance to win. The winner of the Shout It Out Scholarship will be contacted by phone or email.
